Ponders End Community Development Trust
Community Festival
Ponders End Civic Centre (London), winter 2005
Spray can over canvas

On Saturday 19th February took place the second Winter Festival at Point Community Centre, Ponders End.
The event provided a sports skills event, stalls for local groups, a take the stage event, drama groups, face
painting, hair braiding, arts & crafts, free entry and refreshments to the community, and lots of different artistic
activities, including an Eco Street Art event, which was carried out by OnTheLevel and had the support of Gallery
Fore and Edmonton's The Arts Zone.

As in the previous edition, the Street Art Event consisted on an arts competition, which anybody could join and
with no age limitations. Children as young as 4 years old took part on it, and even adults. Arts Zone selected the
winners for this edition as well, but this time all the artwork was exhibited afterwards at Gallery Fore, which was
a great incentive for all the participants, who saw their masterpieces displayed to the general public visiting the
gallery. Our role was to monitor this competition, providing support and tips to participants on how to ellaborate
their artwork.

Special thanks to Matt Lane for counting on us again for this second edition, to Michael Leslie for his great help
this time as well organising the Eco Street Art event and to Gallery Fore for providing the gallery space to exhibit
the artwork. Also to all the participants, you did a great job!
